In the pink!

A quick self portrait just now!

This is my shirt and tie combo today - pink and blue and pin stripes from Austin Reed. The pocket hanky is actually a paper bag from a sweet shop but no one ever notices the fact! Anyhow, point is whenever I wear this gig to work, people do a just about perceptible double take with that age old prejudice or misinformed assumption, that a bloke who wears a pink tie has to be on the other bus (irrelevant but I am not!)

Crazy! Anyhow, I like it and that's that!

Perhaps the pink will 'do it' for your audience of women if the Star Wars thing fails.

Your friend Walshys comment seems a little harsh!!

Have a good day:)

Just came across your blog from my friend Alaina's. I LOVE the pink tie (wish I could get my husband to wear one)!! I have some good friends who just moved back to the states from England.

We have a saying over here that only REAL men wear pink. :-)

Good morning BS5!
My sister lives in West London, is a GSK-er.
Arsenal huh, hmmm. At least you didn't say Chelsea.
I am going to look Sam Powers up. I am guessing she's in Philly? I like Obama too and was sad when he lost the primary here in PA.

Quick reply before guests arrive - wow what a lot of comments! Cheers!

Scargosun - GSK as in Glaxo on the Hammersmith Flyover? I know one or two there from my retail days working at the h.o of a Supermarket based here in Bristol.

suburbia - pink tie went well at work, indeed - and at JS just now! All this and more in a post later on, folks - busy for an hour or so now

Okay - all guest type chores done (though they were cool as I am about to write) but I am now going to put dinner on and write!

I am amazed that the pink tie had such notoriety today!

That is gorgeous! A man who is confident wearing pink is assured of his own sexuality.

Greetings! I just wanted you to know that my 11 year old son believes that real men wear pink! You are really looking sharp!

Hi Liz and Susan, thank you very much indeed! Commenting in my fine but slightly less dapper dressing gown this morning at 6.20! Hope you both enjoy a happy Wednesday.
