Yns Mon.

This week I am on the island of Anglesey, or Yns Mon in the native language. I am helping with a new store opening for the charity that employs me.

Not a bad view of the working day and an amazing and lucky shot just via my phone.

I can see Ireland from Wales on clear days.

My local pub about 91 years ago.

This is The Rhubarb Tavern, my local pub here in BS5.

The shot was sent by a pal (Jack) and was taken circa 1920, some 52 years before I was born and a very long time before I came to call it my local.

Check out the sheer amount of hats! I wonder what these chaps were off to do, perhaps a day out to Weston Super Mare, or a day out to watch the gee gee's?

Lunacy in Bristol.

This driving business is becoming very bloody expensive. That would be about £80 to fill my car now!
